Girl we flying on a g-5, g-5 - Jesse Mcartney
I didn't exactly like this "don't stress, don't stress, don't stress" song (Leaving) by Jesse Mcartney till I heard it via the earphones, loud and clear to my ears. I thought it was pretty cute...especially the 'G-5,G-5" part.
I look ugly now and will be at least for another 2 weeks due to a bad hair trim yesterday. Boo hoo hoo! Those kind friends who tell me they don't see a difference are just being nice & of cos' kind.
To add on to the woes,my face is fat, my waist is fat and FAT! (T.T) Sian!
Hopefully by the time I go Hongkong, my hair will grow and I would slim down so I would look better in photos. Boooooooooo!
Went Swissotel with half of my company (& boss) for buffet dinner on Wednesday.
Ellenborough Market Cafe.
Lucky us paid 50% less the actual price for the buffet. Whee~~
I am just not born to be a buffet person. Whenever there is a plan big makan session, my stomach would "auto-lock" itself. God knows why...I just couldn't see to have an empty stomach for buffets/bbq. Contrary I always feel there are rocks in my stomach whenever I plan for a big makan session.

I didn't take much photos of the food over there. Basically this is the 3rd time I've been there and each time it's with my company.
I am not a particular fan of buffets, especially hotel buffets. Hotel buffet cusines taste quite average to my tongue & the dishes present are nothing special either. Most are just like things you can get from a food court, except better presented.
Still I guess each hotel's buffet has their own highlights and for Ellenborough Market Cafe, it's most probably their sashimi, oysters,(I don't eat that),crayfishes(ok,that is quite ok!) and the most important of all....DURIAN!!!!
Sushis & fried sweet pastries side by side. Lolx. Bad presentation but I have to highlight the rectangular curry puff looking pastry is awesome!!
The filling is redbean paste with some hints of bananas! If I know it is that good, I would throw away all the sushis & just fill the plate with that.
I tried one and one is all I tried.
The long thin pastry next to it tastes like shite! It's some yam thing but I left it on the plate after a bite.
'Sharkfin soup'. Oh so blah! Period.
If you are ever going there, try to look out for Topshells. It tastes very good and fresh, almost like abalone! My piece of advise to you, don't be greedy and take too many of them (Topshells).
I couldn't forget the taste of it after my first visit and on the second, I loaded the plate with Topshells. It still tastes good till the first few pieces. Afterwhich...I feel sick.
Shells..what do you expect?
I know this picture looks like some kinda shite to you. It's crayfishes. One of the top finishing dishes over there. People just load those on the plates like they are lobsters. Personally I find that ok lah. Not much comments.
I purposely added one riceball dumpling in my 'cheng teng'. I like cheng teng and my parents can make the best cheng teng! That cheng teng is like shite! It's basically some brown sugar water. I finish that cos' I like longans(be it dried, fresh or preserved.) I put half the dumpling back to the bowl after I realised it's black sesame filling. Yikes!
And finally the BEST,BEST,BEST dish of the whole buffet has to be this!
The godamn durian paste is so freaking rich and it will instantly send you to heavens with one scoop in your mouth.
For those who just never learn how to eat & appreciate durian, I just feel sad for you.
Look at that! It is 100% authentic durian paste with no other added ingredients in it. The durians are not those lousy durians either. The fragrance, the thickness & richness of it...It beats having sex,I tellcha! HAHAHA! This is the first time I used such a 'vulgar' description but that is how good it is!!!!
Unfortunately due to the richness of it, a small bowl is sufficient to make you full, really full. If durian isn't such a filling fruit, I would have just spend my time eating that and not other things else.
Damn...looking and recollecting the taste of that durian still makes me drool!
Met up with Yuanpin to collect my insurance policy as well as to have dinner(Then my regretful haircut!=((( )@ his neighbourhood.
He told me that there is alot of good food around his neighbourhood & I'd say I'm kinda amazed that behind the AMK MRT tracks lies another small town.
That's a $6 worth of claypot horfun. I have to say that it is very nice and quite worth the value. I am not that big of a horfun fan but I think it is the sauce that makes it very good.
Today's (1/8/08) is my younger bro's 19th birthday!
Met Jason after a long, monotonous and draggy day at work. I had him to drive me back since he has got the car for the weekend.
Ever since Jason worked in RSH, he has been getting way too many PUMA products.I must say those are good deals but I would really love if it's adidas. For instance, he got me another Puma Tote today again. Hahaha. To be honest, that bag really ain't my cuppa design but I won't mind FOCs de loh. Lolx. Furthermore...I actually really appreciate the thought!!
My bro's present is also bought by Jason(I paid for that though).

Cutting cake is really just a ceremony cos' we would just cut the cake & put it back to the fridge. And I always have to appear as the most enthu one of all loh. In the end, I am always the one bringing out the cake, putting the candles on the cake, singing the loudest and putting the cake back to the fridge...even for my own birthday. Argh!
Finally watching The Dark Knight tomorrow. Now the HK trip is the only worth counting down in August.
Sleep early,people.
